What is Madrid Procesos?
Madrid Procesos is a program of artistic production aid organized by AVAM, Associate Visual Artists of Madrid, for the improvement of the conditions of production and creation of plastic and visual artists.
Madrid Process facilitates the production process through financial and technical assistance in order to obtain information about agents and resources that can meet specific needs of artists and create a framework that facilitates the development of a production network that optimizes resources, develops contractual relationship with the artists who exemplify production systems allows more worthy with employment status of the artist; enhances the figure of the artist as a research laboratory that prolongs the entire work of conceptualization and execution of the work, and finally, this work communicates society to raise awareness of the richness and diversity of contemporary practices in terms of the processes that govern them.
Following the call, an external committee composed of professional artists selected four artistic projects to be developed by the authors during the second half of the year.
Madrid Procesos incorporates international mobility program for artists living in the Community of Madrid, consisting of two grants for artistic production and dissemination in studies / housing Karl Hofer Society of Berlin, highlighted by a high level of quality requirement guest artists at their studios
Madrid Procesos 12 Goals:
• Offer a platform artist collective coordination and funding for artistic production that respects their professional rights, and copyrights.
• Analyze and visualize different models of contemporary art, emphasizing the importance of the process of production of the artwork and the factors which determine the development of such producció
• Establish a stable institutional collaborative network that promotes contemporary art production in the Community of Madrid and assess the conditions offered by this country for the development of contemporary art projects
• Encourage artistic creation and spread art Madrid Madrid promoting active international cooperation.
• Create artistic production models applicable to other productions.
• Within the execution of the work emphasizes the production process, the possibilities of collaboration between institutions, and research and optimization of available resources.
Action lines of Madrid Procesos 12:
• SUPPORT PROGRAM COORDINATION AND ADVICE: supporting coordination of production processes and advice in identifying the resources required to implement the same
• Mobility Program: two assists for the broadcast and production support in Spanish art-house studies Oberschöneweide Berlin two months and an exhibition at the Gallery in Oberschoeneweide Karl Hofer projects developed there
• Outreach Program: The goal of this program is the attention to research, resource utilization and implementation of the projects selected for Madrid processes through:
1. COMMUNICATION: A strategy for the dissemination of artists' projects selected under the Madrid Process in various media (Internet, radio, television, newspapers, etc..) Through press conferences, interviews, articles and press
2. CATALOG: bilingual edition (Castilian / Spanish) and Internet support, the catalog includes the content of such documentary program, and aims to develop the visibility of the different projects selected, making it accessible-and thus knowledge of contemporary artistic creation in Spain to a wider audience, both nationally and internationally.
